Hello, with Winter fast approaching i thought it was about time that those of us "macho" Brown Bears started an honest discourse on a subject we all tend to avoid. I'm talking about Pre-Hibernation Depression or PHD. It's been a long bountiful Summer, but the days are shortening and our body clocks are slowing, and whilst it's important to put on a brave face for the cub's sake, it's also essential to ready ourselves for 3 months of sleep, darkness, low heart rates, and no honey. I find myself ignoring bushwalkers, avoiding the river and generally grumbling to myself. If anyone has their own coping mechanisms they would like to share, please join into the discussion. I find scratching my back up against a big Wooli Pine helps alleviate stress and tension. Look forward to hearing your suggestions!
